Who is responsible
ESSENZ Scientific SA, Avenue Charles Ferdinand Ramuz 60, 1009 Pully, Switzerland (“ESSENZ”, “we”) is responsible for the processing of personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, write to contact@essenz.bio.
We process personal data in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Visiting this website
When you open essenz.bio, our hosting provider, Vercel Inc. (USA), processes technical data needed to deliver the page and keep it secure: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, and your browser and device type. These server logs are kept for a short period and are not used to identify you.
This website sets no cookies. Fonts are served from our own domain, so no data is sent to font providers.
Contact form and email
If you use the contact form, we receive the details you enter: name, company, work email, country, the type of enquiry, application and annual volume where relevant, and your message. The form is sent to our business mailbox as an email through our email delivery provider, Resend, Inc. (USA). The same applies when you write to us directly.
We use these details only to answer your request and, if it leads to one, to manage our business relationship with you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and, where applicable, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
We keep enquiries for as long as needed for these purposes and as required by law, then delete them.
Recipients and transfers abroad
We share personal data only with service providers that process it on our behalf (website hosting, email delivery and email hosting) and, where required, with authorities. Some of these providers are located outside Switzerland and the EEA: in the USA (website hosting by Vercel Inc.; email delivery by Resend, Inc.) and in China (our email hosting). Where a country does not offer adequate protection, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses, or on an exception provided by law, for example where the transfer is needed to respond to your request.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your personal data, and for its correction, deletion or restriction, and you can object to its processing or ask for a copy in a portable format, within the limits of the applicable law. Contact us at contact@essenz.bio.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, if you are in the EEA, with the data protection authority in your country.

We may update this policy when our website or our services change. The current version is always published on this page.
